TROUT RIVER MANAGEMENT (PEI) - PRINCE COUNTY CHAPTER

The ongoing goal of this project is to improve water quality in the Trout River Watershed. In 2008 the Prince County chapter of TUC continued its 2007 work undertaking projects to construct cover structure and create pools for spawning and predator protection.

Funds from the CCF go toward covering the costs of hiring summer students to complete this work, and additional chapter initiatives. Completed projects in 2008 included tree planning, installation of brush mats, split logs and pallet structures for cover. This is an ongoing project that is evolving with the river.
