Severe Flood Events

ASSESSING THE EFFECT OF SEVERE FLOOD EVENTS ON STRUCTURE AND DYNAMICS OF CUTTHROAT TROUT POPULATIONS (Chris Dormer, Research Project)

The purpose of this project is to assess the effects of a severe flood on a native and genetically isolated westslope cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus clarki lewisi) population in a third order stream in Alberta’s southern foothills. Specifically, the focus of this project is to assess the effects the severe flood had on last year’s cohort (what would now be age-1 individuals).
