2012-10-03 Lowville Park Tree Planting Over 600 trees and shrubs were planted in Lowville Park on Sunday, September 30th as part of Trout Unlimited Canada’s on-going Bronte Creek restoration work. This work was completed with the support and help of TD Tree Days, the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and the Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program. Trout Unlimited Canada would like to thank the over 70 volunteers who came out to this event and helped by planting streamside vegetation. Thank-you! It was so encouraging to see so many people and organizations all working for a healthier Bronte Creek! October is going to be a busy month in Lowville Park as Trout Unlimited Canada will be planting 5000 trees and shrubs beside Bronte Creek. If you would like to be involved with this exciting conservation work, please check out the Bronte blog for more information. Back to News Items |
