kids can katch
THE BEST REASONS TO TAKE CHILDREN FISHING are the same reasons we all enjoy fishing — it’s a chance to get away from the distractions of daily life, spend time with family and friends and experience the pleasure of the outdoors.

A group of like-minded conservation groups, individuals and businesses are fundraising to create a kid’s catch and release fishing pond. The fishing pond will be located in front of the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery, adjacent to the Ducks Unlimited Canada marsh, which is part of the Pearce Estate Park Interpretive Wetland. The pond will provide youth in the neighbourhood and across the city a chance to get involved in fishing in a safe and supportive environment.

LET’S PASS ON THE TRADITION so Alberta’s rivers, streams and lakes continue to have friends who will enjoy and protect them in the future. Join the Honourable Ted Morton, Minister of Sustainable Development and Mr. Ralph Klein, Honorary Chair of the Kids Can Katch Committee at the Kids Can Katch Fundraising Banquet and Auction.
