| TORONTO CHAPTER’s focus is three-fold: first, the Toronto Chapter promotes water quality and conservation initiatives in the Greater Toronto Area. Secondly, TUC Toronto assists other chapters in Ontario by seeking out corporate and private sponsorships to finance grass roots projects across the Province. Lastly, because many of the members of TUC Toronto are avid anglers, the Chapter also promotes fly fishing in the Greater Toronto Area.
The Toronto Chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada focuses not so much on the physical but rather the financial aspect of helping preserve and enhance water quality in Ontario. Because the chapter is based in the heart of Canada’s business centre, the majority of its members are avid fly fishers and one of the executive sports of choice in corporate Canada is fly fishing, not coincidentally many of TUC Toronto’s members hail from the ranks of corporate Canada. Accordingly, the focus of TUC Toronto is to employ the corporate relationships of its members to help identify potential private and corporate donors interested in sponsoring the valuable work of TUC chapters across Ontario.
