NOTTAWASAGA • SHELBURNE/MONO MILLS, ONTARIO

THE NOTTAWASAGA CHAPTER’s mission is to work with various stakeholders to initiate and promote sound conservation programs and practices that will enhance, restore and protect the cold water tributaries of the Nottawasaga River Watershed.

The Chapter’s concerns lie with the North Branch of the Nottawasaga River and the temperature limitations within this section of the watershed. They are working to re-naturalize the area by landscaping and planting. They are removing ponds and stabilizing the banks in order to bring the temperature of the river to a more natural level. They work in partnership with the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Agency.
