TUC’s Artist of the Year
Since 1992, TUC has been selecting a Canadian artist as Artist of the Year. This program is a means of drawing attention to Canada’s coldwater resources by having artists capture its beauty, fragility and importance.
Trout Unlimited Canada’s Artist of the Year Competition is an annual juried competition to seek out the finest visual expression of our mission. This annual competition is open to any Canadian artist, and comes with a prize of $2,000. The original piece is sold at the annual National Conservation Dinner in Calgary each spring. A limited-edition set of prints is produced and are sold at TUC’s fundraisers across Canada.
