The Yellow Fish Road Rural (YFR Rural) program, through a voluntary and confidential process, aims to improve water quality, using awareness, education, partnerships and participant recognition. The focus of this education and awareness program is on working with agricultural producers and rural landowners for the common goal of improving water quality.

YFR Rural will be an outreach program complementary to other established rural water quality programs. This program will run a pilot in southern Ontario, with the intent of future extension of this program to other rural communities across Canada.
