A 2006 CCFUND PROJECT

SASKATCHEWAN CYPRESS HILLS PROJECT
(Trout Unlimited Canada)
The project, to be delivered over a three year period, has as its goal the improvement of water quality in streams within the Frenchman River watershed, focusing primarily on streams which hold, or are capable of holding, native or naturalized trout populations.
The plan has two components: a riparian restoration component aimed at improving water quality and fish habitat through the restoration of healthy riparian areas, and an educational component aimed at demonstrating to current landowners and students (future landowners) the importance of healthy streams and riparian areas in watersheds.
